02:37 pm - Need money for xmas?
I will guarantee that I make you at least $50 if you sign up for a poker account through me. You will not need to deposit any money or even play one hand of poker. Just sign up through me, set up your account and let me play for you and I guarantee at least $50 that you can withdraw as soon as I complete the promotion requirements. What's the catch you ask? Well there is no catch.. My motivation to do this is that the poker site I play through pays me $50 for every person I refer so I make $50 and you make $50.. it's a win win situation. Anyways, If you're interested, email me @ eric@lil-e.net or IM me at eric5280. You must be 18+.. that's it. I have done this successfully for 5 people so far. Let me do it for you too!

So yeah, i just made an impulse buy..
61" DLP HDTV by Infocus. I bought it from Woot.com for $2500. It also came with a $130 Monster Cable HDTV kit and shipping was a ridiculously low $5! This thing usually goes for $3300 + $200 shipping so I figured it was too good to pass up.

11:58 am - WOW @ this poker hand
This hand just goes to show there are people that will play like idiots even at a high stakes poker table. This joker calls my $25 pre-flop raise with 2 4 and then calls my all in bet ($291) on a gutshot straight draw. Anyways, just thought I'd share my most profitable pot to date with you.

08:54 am - I am offering a free real money poker account
I am offering a free real money poker account and you'll get $25-$75 without having to deposit any of your own money.
You may be wondering how I am able to offer this. Here's how. I use the empirepoker referral program which gives me $50 for each real money player I sign up and gives the new account $25. The requirement is that new account must play 125 raked hands in a real money table. In order to do this you need to have real money in your account to play right? Well I did say I'd get you this without having to put your own money in so I will put money into your account using a player transfer. You will need to give me your login information and I will play the 125 raked hands on your account to release the bonus money. If I win money, I'll leave that in your account and just withdrawl my initial deposit. That way you get whatever I win + $25 bonus money. At minimum, even if I lose all the money I put in, you still get the $25. If I lose all the money, I really don't lose because I get $50 bonus for referring you. So there's little risk on my end and no risk on your end. Ultimately, you get a free real money poker account with a minimum of $25.
If you're interested in doing this, please email me at eric@lil-e.net. Also email me if you have any questions regarding how this will work.
Here's some background on me and my poker playing experience. I started playing poker about 2 years ago. I have really improved my game to the point where I'm consistently winning money. I am a member of the New England Poker Tour and during the 3 seasons, I have won 2 tournaments, made 10 final tables and made the championship table twice. I play in an 8 week 25 person money league where I have made the championship table every season I have played. I also play roughly 20 hours a week online and average about $500 a month in net winnings. After crunching the numbers, I found that while consistently making money, I am still only averaging about $7 an hour which is basically minimum wage. Offering a promotion like this would bump my winning rate to about $30/hour since I can complete the raked hand requirement in only a few hours.

I feel like i just got punched in the stomach.. The good news is I came in 2nd in the weekly poker league I play in and won $100. The bad news is when it was heads up, I had a 153,000 to 7,000 chip lead. Somehow I managed to lose every hand that mattered. Didn't matter if I was the overwhelming favorite on a hand, it would get beat. It was sick. It sucks because I had already figured that 1st place prize money into my wallet and was thinking about what I was going to do with it. Eh I guess $100 isn't bad but man, what a way to lose

12:03 am - I'm re-addicted
So yeah, i've kind of switched my poker allegiances from empire poker to pokerroom mostly because they have a casino as well. Anyways, I was switching between poker and black jack.. winning a little in poker and winning a decent amount in black jack.. So decided to try my old black jack strategy of doubling bets on losses, reseting when I won and just using the basic black jack strategy.. I started off with $5 bets and 33 minutes later, I was up $735! I'm pretty goddamn giddy now.. wow what a rush. That puts me up $1123 since Sunday.. not a bad weeks work.

08:58 pm - Intelligent Design
Am I the only one mildly disturbed by the push to teach the concept of Intelligent design along with the theory of evolution in our science classes? What scares me more is one of the more prominent figures pushing this agenda is none other than our president, George W. Bush. Anyways, I got this rather poignant comic from Time and I think it illustrates how crazy this is perfectly.
I'm just happy Massachusetts is not one of the states that is considering doing this.

So I'm in pretty good shape but there's a long way to go before we get to the final 3 in which you win money. And then I lost my internet connection because a phone call came in on the wireless phone and it occasionally fucks up my wireless internet connection. I'm like who the fuck is calling at this hour. This phone call persists for about 20 minutes and I'm like well, there goes my $33. I finally log in hoping the game is still on and they'll zoom me back to the table but when I login, nothing. I go to the cashier to confirm I had lost the money but low and behold, I was up $57 which meant I somehow came in 2nd place despite folding everyhand since the disconnection. Amazing. I looked through the hand history and based on the cards I was getting, I'm pretty sure I would have won the tournament but I'll take the winning $90 over losing $33 anyday. The funny part about the final part of the game was that everytime the big blind put me all in, i would win the hand so he'd have to raise me and wait until the next time i was all in to win.

06:44 am - i got my hurr did

I think my internal organs were permanently damaged yesterday from excessive alcholol. For those of you that don't know, I arrived in Vegas Wednesday. Wednesday, me and Scotty go bar hopping til 5:30am. Thursday I stay out til 11:30 am before I feel like death reincarnate. Scotty somehow manages to make it all the way till now (3:30ish Saturday). He's a fuckiing machine. Anyways, I'm about to pass out. Peace!

01:00 pm - The Vegas countdown commences
Not to intentionally start off on a tangent but after writing the subject, it reminded me of this one time in college when we were working on a project and I had used the word "commence" to denote the beginning of something. And this one girl was like, you're using the word wrong. It's the ending of something and cited commencement speech/dinner/dance as proof that she was right. I was sure it meant beginning and when I proved her wrong, she was like ok but we're still not using it because it's going to confuse people. What a dumb bitch, so I can't use a word correctly because other people like her won't get it. And this is supposed to be in an institute of higher learning..
but anyways, today I took a trip to mall to get my band for my watch fixed and to have a ring resized, both of which I had been putting off for months but I decided I wanted to wear them when I go to vegas and it's like 9 days away now. So now I'm wearing the watch and let me say I have not worn a watch for years so it feels weird, especially when I'm typing. After that I went to Bailey Banks & Biddle, some upscale jewelry store to get my ring resized. They definitely seemed impressed by my ring because even though I was just there to get it resized, they kept analyzing it and asking me questions about it. I guess they have to appraise it so they can put a liability value on it in case it gets damaged or lost. I was a little taken aback when the guy appraised it for $60,000! I know it's a family heirloom and all but I'm like I almost hope they lose it because as much as I like the ring, I'd like to have $60K in my pocket much more.
That reminds me also, I have to call up Evelines African Hair Braiding & Beauty Supplies to arrange to get my cornrows.. To be honest with you, i can't wait to cut my hair. I don't know how girls and guys with long hair manage it. It's like way too much work.

08:41 am - June 05 Poker results
So June has concluded another relatively successful month of poker. I finished up $1497 after essentially breaking even for the first three weeks. The weird thing is my winning percentage has steadily declined but I always seem to win the higher stake tournaments which has been making up for all my losses in the lower stake tournaments. If I was a stock, I'd consider myself to be a high risk, high yield stock. My ROI was an impressive 35% based on $4273 of total bets, up from 29% last month.

Next month, I'm going to try to get in at least 21 days worth tournaments and look for a $3000 windfall if my predictions are accurate. I have a much better bankroll this month and historically for some reason or other, I do better in larger stakes games.

12:01 am
It was a rough night of poker play today. It started off nice with a 1st place finish on a $30 buy in table that netted me $117. I was about to quit for the night satisfied up over $100 but I've been using this poker prophecy program that tracks your game play and I was at 41.64% win percentage which is good but for some reason or other, I have a lousy 30% win percentage in $10 tables so i figured I'd try to play that and bump it up and if I lose, no big deal, I'll still be up $106 for the night. About 3 seconds later I lose it against a set and I decide, fuck it, go back up to your normal game.. $30... about a minute later, lose that to another set.. Next thing you know I'm playing in $200 buy in game pissed off about losing 5 games in a row to someone with a small pocket pair catching sets on me. Long story short, I lose the $200 and now instead of being up $117 like I started, I'm down almost $400!.. I try one last desperation game, a $200 and I was thinking this is it, you place or you quit until next paycheck... I'm sort of floundering in this game too but stayed about even until it was down to 5. One guy had over half the chips with the rest of us with about 1000 each. Anyways, it's at that point where people are either all in or folding with nothing in between. I catch a break when I catch a king on my K9 hand to beat pocket 6's. I double up again when my A 6 beat a K10 and all of a sudden, I'm in the lead.. Long story short, I end up taking the tournament and won $1000, netting $785 to put me up almost $400 for the day. I tell you, sleeping is so much more relaxing and enjoyable when you end it on a high note.. sweet dreams folks.

06:23 pm - Dumbest sales pitch
I hate when solicitors call me but this particular solicitor was trying to push the dumbest offer. Ok, i don't know how many of you have credit cards and have gotten this offer, but it's essentially an insurance plan for your card so that if you were to get laid off or become physically unable to work, they would pay your minimum payments until you got a job or could work again. Now the plan itself isn't too too bad though I'm against getting any type of insurance that isn't criticial. But here's the sales pitch, you can try this program for free for 30 days and if you don't like it, just cancel it and you won't have to pay the program fees. Now I'm standing there thinking, I know what the program is and how it works. I don't see how "trying it" is going to make me feel better or worse about the program. The only way you would actually enjoy the benefits would be if you were actually to lose your job or become physically unable to work within that 30 days.. anyways, long story short, I hate solicitors but I really hate solicitors that are trying to sell ridiculously stupid offers. I mean they also send those checks for $2.50 to try these programs that cost $19.95 a month.. fuck that shit.. ok i'm done.

12:27 am - I need a home!
So I've had a change of heart regarding finding an apartment and now i'm looking at some condos. I have to tell you it sucks living in a place where real estate prices are so friggin high. Anyways, I've always had a thing for lofts so I checked one out today that was pretty much my ideal living space except it was not in the greatest of neighborhoods so I'd have to worry about resale value if and when I'd want to sell it. Also in the penthouse but had no elevator so walking up those stairs would have been a bitch. Anyways, tommorow i'm checking out this loft:

From the pictures it looks pretty nice. 2 levels, 2br, 1.5ba 1243sq. feet ... plus an elevator which is key.. It's really in the upper realm of what I can afford so I'll need my brother in law to work some magic with the numbers.. It would also help if I could find a roommate to help with the payments but I'll worry about that later.. Anyways, I'm excited... wish me luck.
